The availability of each room is shown …

a) in section Availabilities.

It is sorted by date and will give you an overview in which houses you can find a room which suits your schedule.

b) on the house listing.

Available from 1.December 2017 means that the room is actually tenanted and will become available from 1. December 2017. We accept bookings from that date only and not further in advance (f.e. not for the 1st of January 2018)

How can i arrange a viewing?

Please check the fundamental things on our website first. The location is shown on the map. And the floorplan helps you to see where your room is located and gives you – together with the photos – an idea of how big it is and how it looks like. Basically you get what you see. There is no trick and the photos are not faked.
But of course we understand if you like to see the room before you rent it. We hope that you understand that we like to get some informations of you as well. Please go through our online Application in the “Apply here” section. We will arrange a viewing on request after we received the Application.

Which are my responsibilities as a tenant?

We are not a Hotel or Guesthouse but rather rent a house respectively a room.
Therefore you have several responsibilities:
paying the rent timely
respect house mates and neighbors rights to peace and quiet
keep the house and your room reasonably clean and tidy
Therefore you have to
– buy cleaning material such as cloths, soap, washing powder etc.
– provide and use plastic bags for your refuse
– open the windows every day to have sufficient ventilation to prevent mold
– clean mold if it arises
– replace ordinary light bulbs if necessary
– clean the shower and toilet drain if blocked

Internet problems - responsibility Landlord / Tenant

It is the Landlord´s responsibility to pay for an uncapped ADSL line, to provide a WiFi router and to provide a proper initial setup.
To fix problems caused by Telkom faulty lines or service problems of the ISP (Internet Service Provider) falls into the responsibility of the tenant. The tenant has to call the ISP and run through the error finding procedure. The necessary data (such as username and line number) will be provided by the Landlord on request.
